The Department Achievement Awards recognize the different milestones that departments achieve in 4 areas: participation, dollars pledged, most improved, and the number of “New Connections” that were made in a year.
For Departments with 251 to 600 employees, the program is honored to recognize the following:
Participation, New Connections, and Most Improved: Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS)
This is the fifth year in a row that DCHS has had the highest participation in this category. Even with all of the budget challenges and changes the department has experienced over the last two years they continue to excel.
This office is a perfect example of using workplace giving as an opportunity to build teams, increase morale, and engage employees even through change management, with extraordinary results.
Dollars Raised: King County Information Technology (KCIT)
KCIT is racking up awards all over the place and they are doing it with workplace giving as well. They find innovative new ways to reach employees each year, including using the Annual Giving Drive as a fun way to introduce and better utilize enterprise tools. They are also committed each year to 100% paperless giving in their department.
