Rescuing the lost and injured: Paul Moutray and Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue

Paul Moutray, a rail electro-mechanic with the Division of Vehicle Maintenance, has volunteered with the Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue for 37 years, the last 29 as a member of its Helicopter Rescue Team. “I am grateful to serve the residents of the greater Puget Sound and the surrounding eastern counties,” Paul says. “Our unit is on call 24/7, and we can usually respond to any number of emergencies with about an hour’s notice.” Many organizations such as this can’t survive without the generous donations from the Employee Giving Program, Paul notes.
