2017 STAR Awards – Departments 601 or more employees

The King County Employee Giving Program Department Achievement Awards recognize departmental milestones in 4 categories: participation rate, overall dollars pledged, most improved from previous year, and the number of “new connections,” aka new employee donors, that were made in a year.

The EGP is excited to recognize the following departments with 601 or more employees for their achievements:

Larger departments face unique challenges in bringing together all their employees around workplace giving. How do you reach every single employee?  How do you ensure the message and enthusiasm resonates?  This is at least the 5th year DES has excelled in answering those questions to outstanding result. Congratulations on having the highest participation and most new connections of our 601+ employee departments!Additionally, they have visible leadership that supports the program in a big way. Thank you Caroline and DES!

Dollars Raised: Department of Natural Resources and Parks (DNRP)

edited (1 of 1)-2

For two years in a row the Department of Natural Resources and Parks has built up momentum and rallied their employees –no matter where they are. They did not let far-flung geography deter them from bringing people together. We are so lucky to have such amazing commitment from this department. Way to go, DNRP!!! You raised the more dollars of any departments with 601+ employees.

Most Improved: Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention (DAJD)

The Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention had one goal in mind– be most improved. They provide a perfect example of how powerful our goals can be in generating results. The Lead Ambassador for this department, Micheal Allen, put together a motivated team and got to work. We are so proud and impressed by the heart, determination, and grit of this department. Awesome job, DAJD!
