Many of us have heard the old adage, ‘it takes a village to raise a child,’ but how many of us have reflected on helping a child during the Employee Giving Program’s 2017 Annual Giving Drive? With three week to go, you can still do your part to create a more equitable world for them.

Here are three of the many nonprofit organizations that are doing work with youth!

• Communities In Schools of Seattle (9250) 2445 Third Avenue S Seattle, WA 98134 – Local affiliate of the nation’s leading dropout prevention organization. We are evidence based and data driven, working with at-risk students in Seattle schools.
• Launch (9261) 5950 Sixth Avenue S Seattle, WA 98108 – Formerly CDSA, we help children have a brilliant start by providing equitable access to quality preschool, before & after school, and summer programs for children ages 3-12.
• Sibling House Foundation (9073) 10454 NE 112th St Kirkland, WA 98033 –
  A network of homes where siblings can stay together, as a family, while in foster care.

Every donation made through the Employee Giving Program is tax deductible. King County employees can donate to as many as 20 nonprofit organizations of their choice through payroll. The last day to make time donations is November 17.

As of Wednesday, Nov. 1, King County employees have contributed $421,682.34. This year’s goal is $2 million. Every donation made through the Employee Giving Program is tax deductible.
