The Employee Giving Program’s (EGP) Annual Giving Drive is a perfect time to support a cause that speaks to you. There are a variety of ways to participate including making a financial, time, or volunteer donation. As the drive winds down (you still have a little over one week to donate) and to honor Veterans Day, we have highlighted EGP participating nonprofits that provide support and services to veterans 

Veterans Day, observed on November 11 in the United States, is a day dedicated to honoring and expressing gratitude to people who have served in the military. Communities across the country come together to pay their respects and show appreciation for the sacrifices and services that veterans have made. This day also serves as a reminder of the importance of supporting veterans in their post-service lives including equitable access to healthcare, education, employment, and mental health services. This is an opportunity to raise awareness about the unique challenges that veterans face and to foster a deeper understanding of their lived experience, so they are honored and provided with the resources they need to thrive.

• #29. OARS For Women Veterans, 10952: “To provide re-adjustment services, including resources, information, professional referrals, and outreach, to women who are serving or have served in the Armed Forces of the United States.”
• #30. Veteran Rites, 10078: “We support military veterans transitioning to civilian life through rite-of-passage ceremonies in the wilderness and sharing circles in society. Identity, Purpose, and Belonging.”
• #31. Hitching Rail Wellness Center, 10019: “Our goal is to provide a center which utilizes horses as a curative tool for helping the recovery of military veterans and first responders who are suffering from P.T.S.D.”
